Neal told me of the time when he picked Sonja & Scott up after it had been snowing for quite some time (and he says your mom LET you go), he was in a car not a truck with 4 wheel drive or anything. You guys went to the school parking lot and played around and on the way home you were stuck in the McPherson's yard but managaed to get out without getting the cops called on you.
Then there was the time when Neal took Sonja out driving...he was pretty sure she didn't have a permit of any type. So she drove around in the school parking lot a while. He then let her drive on the road by the "pink" building. They went to the dump road and on the way back out of there they met a car. Sonja couldn't find the dimmer switch for the lights so she just turned the lights off, passed the car and turned them on again. Even when Neal was telling this story on Saturday you could see the fear in his eyes!!!
MEMORIES...priceless.

I am laughing very hard at the lights memory. You have to know that in the car we were driving, the dimmer switch was in the floorboard. I was too short, I guess to reach. For whatever reason, we got very lucky that it wasn't a cop I passed. And yes! There was real fear in Neals eyes then and a very loud yell that said.."Turn those lights on!"
Ah...the good-ol days.
I remember Neal getting stuck one afternoon after dropping me off from school. He was messing with the radio and found the ditch. It was snow packed. He had a hard time getting out of that one.
Thanks for the walk down memory lane. I'll be looking for more stories.
Wow...you all are crazy!
Scott: The school parking lot was a favorite for 'practicin''. Neal had me down there one night (I was about 12 or so) driving around backwards 'practicin'' and J. Greenway showed up. He said "I drove by and seen lights flashing on the side of the school, I thought someone was breakin' in." Now I must ask. Why would anyone break INTO a school? OUT, I understand.
