A great Christmas Present

A friend of mine knows a family of 5 from her hometown. This family has a 5 year old daughter who is ill....not sure of the illness just in and out of the hospital and the doctors have revived her twice. Anyway.....they are unable to buy Christmas presents for their 3 children. My friend put the word out here in New Castle and folks responded. I went to her house to drop off some stuff and her living room was full of gifts, clothes, bikes....too much to list AND she had raised $1240 +

It was the most amazing feeling. I feel like that's all I want and needed for Christmas...just to witness miracles and GOD's work in this and everything around me.

GOD IS SO GOOD!

Merry Christmas

Well, Christmas is sneaking upon us pretty fast. I took some pictures and went to Walmart to have prints made and the lines for 1 hour photo was unbelievable. Oh well, I don't know if I will get prints made before then or not but it doesn't matter....I really wasn't all that happy with how the shot of the 3 of them together turned out. Here is a peak of Devin, Autumn and Lily and our GIGANTIC tree.

Well, my cousins and I always get together before Christmas and eat and play dirty Santa. It is a blast! Here is a pic of this years party. All my first cousins and one cousin - in - law.

On the same note we got a live tree last night. It is 9 feet 4 inches from the floor to the top of the star. I will post pics of it as soon as I make some finishing touches to it.

Hope everyone is well. What are everyone's traveling plans for Christmas?

Well, I tried to put some links on this blog and it didn't work so there is some mumbo jumbo on the last two posts.

I am so looking forward to the holidays....my mom's family actually starts this Sunday evening. We always have a Thanksgiving dinner the weekend before. I am already feeling guilty for thinking about all of the good food.

Can't wait to see Scott and Beth. We are also looking forward to the Boyd's at Christmas time. Take care everyone!

SURPRISE!!!!

Neal and the children were taking me out on Sunday for my birthday.....dinner and maybe a little shopping. He arranged for us to leave the house at a certain time, well I should've known....he was up to something. As we were heading out of town he dropped by my mom's church and the parking lot was full of "way too familiar vehicles". He was taking me to a surprise birthday party. Well, all kinds of family and friends were there (about 40 people). I was shocked and a little embarrassed because I really don't like to be "made over". But it turned out great and come to find out he had been planning this since back in the summer. He is so sweet. Anyway, it was a wonderful surprise and I had a great time and still went to dinner and did a little shopping. Thanks Neal.

Well, there's not a lot new going on in the Hutchison household.

I tried to take the kids picture for fall and this is the best one....it is difficult to get three kids to smile and look in the same direction all at the same time. But it turned out pretty good though.

BRAGGING RIGHTS

Devin is doing wonderful with homeschool...even Mom is doing good!!! :)

Autumn's new favorite show is 30 minute meals with Racheal Ray, she is glued to the TV when it comes on.

Lily can pat-a-cake on command. It is so sweet. She is 9 months old today.

Well, it is almost Friday!!! The weekend again. Thank goodness.
I've been working extra hours this week to cover others who are out of town on a business conference. So, by the time I get home, school Devin and get supper ready....it's late. I will look forward to Friday evening when I'm not rushed and I can just sit down and relax. I have a baby quilt to finish for my cousin before Sunday...I need about 1 1/2 hours to finish and I doubt if I will get that time (straight) to finish but oh well.

GOD IS GOOD!!!!!

We survived the weekend

We had a nice time at the Liberty game. Very chilly, not cold but the wind was very irritating. The kids had a great time and we had a wonderful visit with Sarah.

Friday the 13th....I am not superstitous

Well, everyone around here at work keep talking about "Friday the 13th". I think it is ridiculous. I have had a wonderful day and I am about to leave work.
Tomorrow we are going to a Liberty University football game with Sarah. It is their homecoming and she invited us to tailgate with her and her family and friends. Can you imagine a tailgate party with a 5 & 3 year old and 9 month old? Maybe we'll take some pics and I'll post them. Have a great weekend!

Devin and his visit to Gomer's

Well.....Marvin, Neal and Devin (and quite a few other Craig County residents) had been watching some deer on the farm below Gloria Ann's house. This particular deer was hit by a car and Gomer took the antlers from it. Neal found this out...so he decided to take Devin and Autumn to Gomer's house to see it. Well, Devin was in awe....Gomer has a lot of stuffed animals, mostly turkeys but a deer or two, I think. Gomer was very impressed with Devin's age and how much he knew about deer hunting. He knows a lot and even teaches me and the grandma's a lot of words and wisdom that we've never heard. As for Autumn....she tries to pretend she is interested but I really think there is no hope for her...she is all girly!!!!
